The Process of Making Bespoke Embroideries

In addition to an extensive swatch library, we create collections every year for Spring/Summer & Fall/Winter. Our Spring/Summer line is completed in January and Fall/Winter in August every year. It is then shown at the Premiere Vision, Paris as well as to designers in our offices.

Step 1

Embroidery Development & Finalization

Typically, designers pick out our embroidery samples and advise any changes to colors, techniques, artwork etc. Alternatively, they share mood boards, inspirations & themes so that embroideries can be created based on them. We implement client instructions to create unique embroidery samples that are treated as Intellectual Property and therefore never shared with other designers.
Step 2

Paper Patterns or measurements for embroidery placement on the garment

Once an embroidery is approved in stage 1, designers send us patterns or measurements and sometimes their own fabric for making the embroidery. Our commercial artists will draw the artwork detailing the embroidery placement providing options for the designer’s approval. Once the artwork is approved we are able to provide a time frame for completion of the project as well as a tentative budget.
Step 3

Embroidery Manufacturing

Based on the approved sample and the artwork, we will start making the embroidery and will ensure it is completed within the deadline communicated to the designer. Under exception circumstances if there are changes to ship dates they are communicated well in advance so the designer is able to schedule fittings & dress deliveries.
Step 4

Quality Control and On-time Shipment

Once the embroidery is completed it goes through a rigorous quality control process by an independent team so any defects are identified & fixed prior to shipping. To avoid any surprises, we send photographs and a video of the completed embroidery to the client for final approval prior to shipping.
Step 5

Filing and Data Management

We have developed a software that helps us keep track of all orders. In addition we keep physical records of the shipped product for 24 months before destroying our records. This is done to so that if an embroidery needs to be revisited for another project the initial processes need not be repeated.
